Review: Awk-Weird by Avery Flynn

*Happy sigh* I love Avery Flynn’s books. However, I will be the first to admit that ‘surprise baby’ is not my first pick of tropes. So, I went into this one feeling a little nervous about what I might find.

I shouldn’t have worried, though, because this story won me over from the first interaction of the main characters. Tess is adorable with her fact-spouting and crazy kitten. And Cole and his neurotic behaviors are just as endearing.

And the two together, well, they just work. I could help but cheer for them the entire book. Who doesn’t love an underdog story? So then, two slightly neurotic underdogs finding each other? Yes! Sign me up. I read it all in one sitting because I obviously needed to know what happened to finally bring these sweet soils together. I’m still smiling because it’s just that darn good. 💜

ABOUT THE BOOK
There’s more to me than just being awk-weird. I own my own flower shop, have some great friends, and I have my eye on adopting the most adorable kitten. But sadly, hot guys don’t tend to be blown away by my trivia-spouting, dorky self.

So, when a Thor-lookalike who happens to be a professional hockey player hits on me at my bestie’s wedding rehearsal party … You better believe I climbed that tree like a cat. And the face that it happened not once, not twice, but three times? Yeah, that’s pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a woman like me.

There’s zero chance I’ll end up ever seeing him again…right?

Until the pregnancy test comes up positive. What happens next?

Oh my God, I wish I knew…
