Cream and Punishment is the next book in Susannah Nix’s King Family series. Tanner and Lucy both work for the creamery, although in different departments. They dated at one time, but Lucy broke Tanner’s heart when he asked for more. However, when they end up working in the same department, they have to find a way to work together.
This was another enjoyable read by Susannah Nix. I’ve really enjoyed her King Family series and this second-chance romance was another hit! Both characters had depth and showed growth throughout the story. Lucy’s family was hard to read at times, but I like that Lucy stayed true to her character and worked through what she needed to in order to be true to herself. Overall, I thoroughly Cream and Punishment and, as always, I can’t wait for the next Nix book!
